We acknowledge the survivors and their experiences. We were privileged to have been invited to contribute in a small way, to this historical and significant inquest into Abuse in Care in Aotearoa, NZ.
Last year TTM Consultancy was approached to assist in te reo translations, provide strategic cultural advice and engage stakeholders for the final Abuse in Care Inquiry New Zealand report.
Facing challenges, including tight deadlines, we prioritised effective communication and used our expertise in communications to address the inquiry's needs.
TTM's proactive approach helped overcome specific challenges faced by the Abuse in Care Royal Commission of Inquiry. By supporting this kaupapa we helped enhance the quality of communications, te reo translations and drive meaningful engagement with Māori stakeholders.
Our efforts not only helped achieve immediate goals but also contributed to a historical document that could pave the way for policy change for survivors of historical abuse in Care.

PLNZ aimed to align itself with Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles, promoting cultural understanding, respecting Māori values, integrating Māori language and culture.
TTM is evaluating PLNZ organisation's current state, auditing policies and practices, and setting benchmarks for improvement.
TTM is crafting a strategy to reflect PLNZ's commitment to cultural alignment. We then execute the strategy, emphasising collaboration, regular reviews, and a culture of learning and adaptation to ensure continuous improvement.
Through close collaboration, TTM and PLNZ will tailor the strategy to PLNZ's needs. The continuous improvement approach ensures sustained commitment beyond the initial timeline.

Te Rōpū Whakahau (TRW) sought to elevate their Mātauranga Māori & Tukua Professional Development Programme by expanding its reach and refreshing the content to better align with Mātauranga Māori standards. This initiative aimed to enhance the understanding and integration of Māori knowledge within cultural institutions, supporting te reo Māori speakers and learners.
TTM evaluated the existing materials, gathered feedback from stakeholders, and developed a two-tier structure for beginner and intermediate levels. A hybrid delivery model was also introduced, combining marae-based learning with online resources for greater flexibility.
Through close collaboration with TRW, TTM created a tailored refresh. This approach guarantees ongoing adaptation and improvement, reflecting TRW's long-term commitment to cultural responsiveness and professional development.
